Four drums, graduated in size. Specific sizes depends on availability.
This piece is inspired by electronic music and computer controlled instrumentation. It is written for four percussionists, each playing 1 drum, and consists entirely of measured double stroke rolls and accents.
The piece was originally written for Logos Foundation's "Troms", a set of seven computer controlled drums, and adapted for four percussionists in December, 2006.
The premiere of this piece was held in Montpelier, Vermont on August 12, 2007. It was performed by Michael Manion, Brian Johnson, Douglas Perkins, and Dov Michael Schiller.
There was an earlier exhibition of the piece in November, 2006 in Cologne at Computing Musik IV where it was performed by seven computer controlled drums.
