Brief Review
Multi-Sonics lives up to its title; it's an exploration of the many sounds available in the snare drum. Using scrapes, clicks, rims, heads, sticks, fingers, snares, strainers, etc. Gary Deiboldt has created a melodic (although non-picthed) piece that is sure to please.
Performance Notes
In the score, Mr. Deiboldt recommends that a Ludwig Suprephonic 400 should used. However, I imagine that he made that note knowing that many performers wouldn't have that exact type of drum available. I'd suggest that the performer could take some liberties to accomdate the 'lack' of a Supraphonic 400.
